Modern working life can leave us all a little stressed, anxious or worried at some point in our lives. The fast-paced global economy, new technology, shrinking budgets and ever-changing workplace landscapes can understandably take a toll on our health. It can sometimes feel that we can never keep up with ever-increasing ‘to do lists’ and demanding schedules.
Understanding stress and managing it well is a unique process. What one person finds stressful, another can find a super exciting challenge. There is no one size fits all approach to understanding the nuances of human behaviour, but there are some common sense techniques we can all learn to enable us to make healthy choices about how to react to stressors in our environment.
Sereniti offers a range of psychological services with our specialists experienced in helping people in the workplace to create and utilise coping techniques to draw upon when things get tough. We offer a range of support and training services around stress management.
Stress Management and Resilience Training Workshops
Covers the physiological/emotional/psychological and behavioural aspects of stress and explores levels of self-awareness and techniques to build higher levels of personal resilience
Our resilience training techniques include emotional intelligence, perceptual positions, breathing techniques, visualization, mindfulness and a variety of contemporary self-management strategies.
Personal Resilience Coaching
Our team of coaches can often help individuals understand their unique thinking style and how perceptions impact how stressed we feel. We can offer group or individual coaching sessions as a program or just as a one-off to help staff re-vitalise, re-motivate or just get a different perspective on things at work.
For more extreme stress reactions where the ability to work is impaired.
One to one support sessions where staff can talk confidentially about current life stressors. Workplace counselling is solution-focused and time-limited. Sessions are with a trained Counsellor/Psychologist or equivalent.
Advice on reasonable adjustments
Our HR team can offer case-by-case advice on making reasonable adjustments at work for staff who may be suffering from stress. This may be reduced duties, extra support or flexible working until things improve.
Support for your own HR Manager
We can offer to support your own HR team with specific case management advice or projects such as the design and implementation of an in-house training program which meets the HSE standards for work-related stress.
